Annual Picnic
 
The GFA Picnic is held annually the 3rd Saturday of September. Mark your calendar for September 16, 2006. The location is at Doctor Doug Henson's farm near McDonough, GA. See directions below.

A seminar for new falconers will be held.

We encourage everyone to bring their family and friends, especially those interested in the sport of falconry. Come and meet old friends and make new ones. We would like to see falconers bring their birds for others to observe and photograph.

Meat and drinks will be provided by the club. We ask that each member family please bring a covered dish. Extra seating is always needed, so please bring a lawn chair.

Special thanks go out to Doctor Henson for opening his home to us and to Rev. Joey Seabolt for coordinating the event and providing the tables and chairs.

Directions: From Atlanta on I-75
Exit at State route 155 (Exit 216) and turn Left.
Go to second traffic light (Kingmill Rd-Midland Ind Park
and turn Right.
Go to dead end (Approx 1 mile) turn Right (State Rt 42).
Go approx 1+mile turn Left on Harris drive.
Go approx 1 mile to dead end and turn Right on South
Bethany Road.
Go to 2nd left (Harris-gravel road) turn Left.
Go to next intersection Seabolt Road turn Left.
Go approx 3/4 mile, Henson residence on Left.
 Directions: From Macon on I-75
Exit at Locust Grove (Exit 212) and turn Right.
Go to dead end (Approx 1/2 mile) turn Right (State Rt 42).
Go to second Rail road crossing turn Left (Peeksville Rd).
Approx 1/2 mile past Methodist Church turn Left on
Leguin Mill Road.
Go approx 1/2 mile turn Left on Harris Drive (Gravel road).
Go to second intersection Seabolt Road turn Right.
Go approx 3/4 mile, Henson residence on Left.
